This year Hope Charter Leadership Academy introduces the Student and Family Engagement (S.A.F.E) Program! This program is available for you and your students this year and is overseen by our S.A.F.E Coach, Mrs. Elina Coleman. The S.A.F.E. Program is designed to address needs that your child(ren) and family might have that go beyond the classroom. S.A.F.E. aims to support your child emotionally, mentally, and vocationally, while fostering positive learning involvement. A major part of your student’s success is a result of your (the parent/guardian) involvement in their learning process. S.A.F.E provides a myriad of supportive services including, but not limited to:
- Individual and group mediation/counseling,
- classroom lessons,
- parent and teacher consultations,
- referral assistance to other programs (food support, homelessness, etc.),
- and services in the community to benefit and meet the needs of all HCLA students and families.
Any student can request to meet with Mrs. Coleman or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator or parent.
If S.A.F.E can support your child or family in anyway, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Coleman. Email is the best way to reach her, but she is available via phone and fax as well.
